With origins from the 13th century, the church proudly boasts stars in the Guide Michelin. The Botanic Garden is Sweden's oldest high school garden and has been a source of knowledge for students since the 18th century. It was established by order of Johannes Rudbeckius and is located between Rudbeckianska Gymnasiet and Västerås City Library, just northeast of Västerås Cathedral.
Vallby Friluftsmuseum shows the cultural history of Västmanland. Here you will find living collections of plants and animals, ancient monuments and collected buildings with objects that together give an experience of life before.The museum works with the preservation of living collections of farm animals and cultural plants.
